The game is set in a near future, thirty years after the events of Killzone 3. The world is a very different place; two rival factions known as the Helghast and the Vektans live side by side in a futuristic city, divided by a vast wall. Killzone Shadow Fall Intercept’s cooperative philosophy is grounded in four different “Combat Roles.” The Marksman is the master of medium-to-long distance warfare. The Assault role is a close-combat terror. The Medic and Tactician fare worse in constant battle; rather, the former excels in reviving and resupplying comrades, while the latter is a master of boosting team defenses via turrets and Nano Shields.
