The Future of VR Gaming Arrives!

playstationvr-top-article01-20161207.png PlayStation®VR is a Virtual Reality (VR) system that enhances PlayStation®4 and enriches gaming experiences. After putting on VR headsets, players will be surrounded by an impressive 3D space in 360 degrees. Together with the 3D audio technology developed on our own, this system creates the sense of presence, allowing players to enjoy as if they are in the gaming world.

PS VR Setup

playstation-vr-features-faq-article01-en To start PS VR, you will need PlayStation®4 and PlayStation®Camera. Almost all games support DUALSHOK®4, but some requires PlayStation®Move motion controllers. Limit your use of PS VR to within the Play Area. You can interact with games more directly because the camera captures the position, direction, and movement of your VR headset.

Enjoy Movies and Games on a Big Screen in a Virtual Space Using “Cinematic Mode”

playstation-vr-features-entertainment-ar “Cinematic mode” allows users to enjoy PS4™ games, videos and other contents on a big screen created in a virtual space! A big screen up to 226 inch distant from 2.5m appears. (There are individual differences when watching)

Enjoy 360-Degree Videos/Photos!

PS VR TECHNOLOGY - DESIGN

playstation-vr-features-hardware-article The PlayStation®VR headset was engineered to be balanced, comfortable, and completely adjustable. It’s designed to feel like it's not there – keeping you free from distraction as you explore new gaming worlds.

PS VR TECHNOLOGY - DISPLAY

playstation-vr-features-top-articke03-20 PS VR uses a single 5.7” 1920 x 1080 resolution full-color OLED RGB display, also known as “1920 x RGB x 1080.” PS VR display uses full Red, Green and Blue sub-pixels to produce a full color pixel. Also the headset contains blue LED tracking lights and motion sensors that are used in conjunction with the PS Camera to track the position and orientation of your head in real-time.  These technologies enabled PS VR to further immerse the player and deliver a strong sense of presence.
